Automation of Manual XY-Table

As a side personal project alongside a main research, I automated a manual Proxxon 27100 MICRO KT-70 XY-table to facilitate the measurement process and enable a more agile workflow. This cost-reduction effort (€1000 → €100) involved integrating two NEMA 17 stepper motors with dedicated control boxes, driven by DM542 stepper motor controllers and a PWM pulse signal generator, resulting in precise and repeatable positioning at a fraction of the cost of commercial solutions.
